South West regional council

Regional Council brings together branches from across the region three times a year, to discuss campaigns, organisation and the current issues affecting our members across the region.  Dates for this year are listed below and delegates are elected by each branch.  We try to ensure delegations reflect the diversity of the union and new people are particularly welcomed.

The annual general meeting of the South West Regional Council will be held at Croyde Bay Holiday Village, Croyde Bay Devon EX33 1QB.

Nominations for South West Committee and

Sub Committees of South West Committee 2012-2013

Nominations from branches are required for the following seats on South West Committee/South West Regional Council 2012-2013.

South West Regional Council Bulletin

UNISON is making efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and stop paper wastage.  The South West has decided that for future Regional Council meetings it will place all registration forms and information on the regional website so that branches can print only the documentation they require

Overnight Accommodation

If overnight accommodation is required for branch delegates or observers then branches must arrange this themselves.

Please Note:  Overnight accommodation for Thursday night is only available for members of South West Committee that have to travel a long distance.  Authorisation must be agreed in advance by the Regional Secretary, Joanne Kaye by email or the Committee Administrator, Marilyn Crawley by email.

Expenses   

If you are a Branch Delegate you must claim travel expenses and subsistance from your branch.

If you are an ex-officio, a member of the NEC or member of SOC you can claim expenses from the region, please click here for further information. 

Regional Council Dates 2012

19 May 2012 - 9.45am - 4.00pm - Croyde Bay Holiday Village

19 October 2012 11.00am - 3.00pm - University of the West of England, Bristol.   South West Committee agreed that the October meeting would take the form of a short mid week meeting to be held in Bristol.
