This section of the website contains information relating to the various groups and committees within UNISON South West.

Groups

First in the list are UNISON's Service Groups. We group employers together in the following categories:

• Community (charities, housing associations and other voluntary sector organisations)
• Energy (electricity and gas industries, National Grid)
• Healthcare (NHS and private contractors that provide NHS services)
• Higher Education (universities and HE colleges)
• Local Government (local councils including schools, fire & rescue, Food Standards Agency and private contractors in these areas)
• Police and Justice (police staff, probation, CAFCASS)
• Water, Environment and Transport (water companies, British Waterways, Environment Agency, Passenger Transport Executives, regional airports)

Then there are specialist occupational or thematic groups:

• BAOT (British Association of Occupational Therapists)
• Equal Pay User Group
• Further Education (FE colleges, sixth form colleges)
